Ooooops
I am a consistent early riser. It seems like no matter when I go to sleep my body decides it is time to be up around 6am. So imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning at 8am. Now imagine the jolt of adrenaline that shot through my body when I realized that my alarm was supposed to go off at 5:30am so I could get myself up and to my run site by 6:45am. I jumped out of bed only to have my brain catch up with my body and tell it, "You are not going to be able to make it to the run." I checked my alarm and yep, I set it for pm instead of am. It didn't take my body too much time to decide to get back into bed. My brain took a little more convincing but, lo and behold, the next time I looked at my clock it was 10:45am. WHAT?!? I can't remember the last time I slept past 8 or 9 in the morning. So, although I would have liked to run the 8 miles with my group this morning I think my body was telling me something. I'm not going to beat myself up about it, especially since I can run that distance on my own today or tomorrow.
